The new Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Bill was published yesterday in Parliament. The Bill limits full access to benefits and social housing to citizens and permanent residents and any foreign nationals who commit serious offences will automatically be considered for deportation, while the UK Border Agency has also a duty to safeguard the welfare of children in its work.
