A poll conducted at the EcoBuild conference last week has found that the government ‘must do more’ to support green innovation and help the sector climb out of the recession. Most respondents – 96 per cent believed the government should introduce new incentives to support green building, such as tax breaks on home improvements. Without which, nearly half the respondents believe, the recession threatened to wreck the ‘green gains’ in building.
